The mean effective pressure(mep) is a usefull relative engine performance measure and is obtained by dividing the work done per cycle by the cylinder(s) total displaced volume per cycle.
As is described above, I think you have got the answer. MEP is a basic concept. From its name it is pressure, but it is not. it's the cycle work done by per unit volume.

In My case an doubt i have placed the pressure sensor in the engine and using it i am measuring the mean pressure so can use above all equation to find out the work done per cycle if i have data of change in volume.
