This question is aimed at gathering data to estimate the number of generations COVID-19 goes through in a single human host. And there have been and likely are at this time early June 2020 millions of human hosts and it seems many animal hosts as well. With more information, is it possible to estimate the risk of COVID-19 mutating to become more virulent. Is science underestimating the virulence potential of COVID-19?
