How does one incubate at continuous nuv (near UV) radiation since most BOD s are incubations under dark conditions?

For effective sporulation one needs UV radiation. Most research papers mention nuv (near UV radiation was applied with incubation). In case we have an ordinary dark phase incubator , how does one circumvent the problem if they dont have a UV light installed in the incubator already.
