Specifically, I am looking at the species Alatina alata. I am having trouble both finding the statoliths and also extracting them for further analysis. I have been freezing specimen before I am able to look at them more closely and it seems the eyes may be degrading to a point where I can't actually identify any structures. Any help on this topic would be very helpful, thanks!
