We would like to study cytokine secretion profiles (e.g. IL-2, TNFg) of T cells under different treatments. Which method (ideally cheap) would you recommend? We have tested the Human Inflammatory Cytokine Cytometric Bead Array (CBA) from BD but we would like to test other alternatives. Thank you!

I briefly wanted to reach out concerning your question. Depending on the number of cytokines (you want to assess), detection limits for such cytokines and absolute quantification, you may want to consider the Target 48 PEA assay from Olink.

The assay performs better than MSD or Luminex assays in terms of sensitivity and dynamic range and has improved assays for TNFa, IFNg etc.

You can also build a custom test with a flex flex assay with 21 targets, in case you want to use it on large cohorts/ numbers of samples.
