How do you routinely and frequently assess your students’s performance?
Performance is a key component of learning because it helps students learn. Students’s Performance can assess by assignments, Quizzes to memorize facts and figures, techniques, Using concept maps, Assessing group work.

Student assessment could be done on a periodic basis by holding written as well as clinical internal assessment exams, by having regular discussions with them, by asking them to present seminars on important topics, as well as taking a viva voice before their final examinations.
There can be formal and informal assessment, through these assessment we can get an idea about their memory, knowledge, adaptation capability, changes of behaviour in good direction etc etc
Here are some ways of assessing student learning and performance:
•Creating assignments
•Creating exams
•Using classroom assessment techniques
•Using concept maps
•Using concept tests
•Assessing group work
•Creating and using rubrics
In the undergraduate stage: I always ask them to prepare a report about some topic and give them the steps for writing. Then, we discuss the report content.This will assist to build them as engineers.
In postgraduate: My assistance by help them to understand the subject, and how to discuss the results of study.
There are many standardized ways of assessment that need to be incorporated in the teaching learning process for achieving the objectives of the lesson taught.I find it useful to remain connected with students throughout the lesson at the cognitive and emotional level to gauge their responses in different phases of the teaching.Like how much they are responsive and understanding the material in the beginning of the lesson , in the middle of the lesson and at the end of the lesson. What level of questions they asked at the beginning of the lesson and what level of questions they asked near the end of the lesson.How much they are enthusiastic and confident at the end of the lesson.How frequently they imply the concepts taught in novel situations.The purpose is to give impression to the students that you are more interested in making them learn and not just making them ready for formal assessments.
Paul: Exams and attendance. My courses have five (5) exams worth 100 points each. There is also a Final Exam worth 100 points. Exams are worth 600 points total.
Attendance is also worth 100 points. My college has a policy that if a student misses five (5) or more class meetings, then their final grade is lowered one letter grade. I like this policy, too! Attendance is very important and prepares them for their career.

Daily direct assessment creates a kind of relationship between the student and the subject of the lesson and makes the student more interested and less tense about the grades, and the assessment does not have to be incapacitating and cumbersome for the students, on the contrary it should be easy and light

During the whole year there would be ; Short quizzes, Assignment , preparation and discussion of clinical case reports , practical assays , attendance evaluation.
