I think collecting all data related to the product for the whole years that is manufactured ex: (suppliers, workers turnover, cost, design variation, internal maintenance,etc...) and insert them into a software to see the interaction between factors and their impact on the quality. This may clear the effect of all what mentioned on the manufacturing process.
