I want to functionalize graphene oxide using esterification. When I searched the papers about this kind of reaction, I found that many authors synthesized ~100 mg of graphene oxide. However, I need functionalized graphene oxide a lot. ( I want to get 1g of f-GO)

Is it okay to set the experiment condition in the same concentration for a large amount of GO? If not, is there a particular reason to synthesize only a small amount for research ?

I'm not an expert in chemistry, so, i'm just curious.

Also, I need tips for functionalizing a large amount of GO (~1g).
