How do you define DNA repair foci following ionisation radiation?

Hi everyone?

what approaches have you guys been using to count and identity DNA repair foci follow gamma H2AX staining? Do irritated cells also form foci? do you measure the number of foci per cell or the number of cells with a particular number of foci? or the total protein signal intensity ?
