Hi all, I am trying to test my polymer stability in biological medium. I know how to make 1% /5% etc of BSA in buffer but I am not sure how do we actually decide this percentage volume. Is there any standard or it is just good with 1% BSA? Thanks for the help!

P/s: the buffer solution is artificial ISF (interstitial fluid).

Prepare a stock solution of 200 mg/mL (20%) BSA in your buffer. To make a 5% BSA solution _by volume_ you need a 1/4 dilution (or 25% of your stock solution).
25% = x / (100 + x) ; 0.25 * (100 + x) = x ; 25 + 0.25X = x ; 25 = x - 0.25x ; 25 = 0.75x ; x = 33.33 mL
Add 33.33 mL of your 200 mg/mL stock to 100 mL of buffer for ~5% BSA.
