is there any article journal or reliable writing that explain about testing the total suspended solid (TSS) in water using photometric method as most of the article that i found using gravimetric method. can i use photometric method to conduct the water?

Most photometric methods (Hach etc) recommended that you calibrate your photometric TSS by performing gravimetric tests on the same samples.
The gravimetric method is the test required by most national standards. Hence, which method you use really depends on who you are reporting your results for. In my opinion, if you are reporting to a national body (government) then use the gravimetric test. If your results are for research purposes (relative differences) and you need to process a lot of samples then you could justify using the photometric method.
