The issue bilinear hardening model and nominal cohesion yield stress value is given. So how do we decide the value of cohesion yield stress and absolute plastic strain?
Another issue is damping coefficient of 0.1 is given for interaction. Since it is a implicit problem what value of clearance needs to be considered?

your question seems two fold: 1) cohesion yield and post yield behavior, and 2) contact damping...am I right; if yes then elaborate your problem detail more technically and let us know what are you trying to do/how you're approaching it.

1. Yes. Contact damping. the damping coeffcient for contact interaction is given as 0.1 but in abaqus/standard it also ask for a clearance value. So how are we going to decide what clearance value should be taken?
2. Mohr coulomb plasticity model is used with bilinear soil hardening rule. and this rule requires to give value for cohesion and their corresponding absolute plastic strain. So what values should be taken for that? Can we use stress strain curve for toyoura sand after yielding?
My approach is I made the model, gave geostatic stresses, gravity and surcharge loading and then@ applied acceleration at all nodes vertically and at the base of soil. But do not know what values to take for the above two mentioned issues.

Regarding clearance values, have gone through abaqus analysis manual->interactions->defining contact pairs->adjusting initial over closure and specifying initial clearance?
