While study pressure, deadlines, and social competition have long been part of university life, today’s context may amplify these challenges in new ways. Tools designed to foster teamwork, for example, can also introduce stress — especially when collaboration is forced or poorly facilitated.
In our current research, we’re exploring how students cope with these demands. Most undergraduates seem to develop effective strategies to manage stress, while a smaller group faces more serious difficulties, including mental and physical health concerns.
