My creep equation are based on longitudinal stress, but in USERCREEP subroutine creep rate increment is calculated based on equivalent stress. So is there any way to use longitudinal stress?
Hello Ankit Singh. The subroutine USERCREEP is utilized to analyze creep in components under multi-axial stress state. For the uni-axial stress state (for example, tension test) the von Mises equivalent stress is equal to the tensile (normal) stress. In other words, the normal (longitudinal) stress is included in the general multi-axial formulation and you shuld get your creep equation as a special case.
If you insert the uni-axial (longitudinal) stress into the general muti-axial creep law you should get the uni-axial creep rate, as observed in the usual creep test. If not, then there is something wrong in the multi-axial creep equation.
