A typical effect in the oil and gas industry is the formation of scales inside drilling tubular and well completion strings during production.
The challenge is to remove the scale first and process it afterwards in a intelligent way in order to receive a radium lean and a radium enriched fraction.

Hello, the Radium/Barium separation is not easy. Instead of fractional precipitation I would suggest chromatographic separation, that is more effective. It also depends on how much material you need to process.. In any case, it would be expensive and bulky work, so the question is - Is it worth to do it?

Actually you have to dissolve very insoluble sulphates first and then separate Ra/Ba. Typically Sr-resin is used to do so, however other resins also exist and work as well.
