I have tried packaging tape but its not work and it rips the epedermis
Hi Carol, Just remove the trichomes using fingers or tape and apply coconut oil which will save the epidermis from dehydration and yellowing or ripening. I hope this Idea will work.

I think you can try:
- nail varnish or nail hardener. remove it softly after polymerization
or
- neoprene glue extended with a small brush
