I have to Isolate genomic DNA from Bhendi (Abelmuscus esculentus) using the CTAB method. This is a very viscous plant and the final DNA residue is highly viscous. Can anybody tell me how to remove the viscosity from the sample during isolation of DNA?
Hi. The best way to remove viscous from your DNA is using DNA extraction kit but if you don't want to use kit, you can use phenol or chloroform and if it is due to proteins you also can use proteinase K.
