Purification of immunoglobulin from serum is straight forward with either ammonium sulphate or PEG. IgG can be purified from the immunoglobulins with protein G (more specific than protein A). However, separating IgG4 from all other immunoglobulins will require affinity purification of the gamma-4 component. If anti-human IgG4 antibodies can be used for rabbit IgG4 only experiments can tell.
