I want to prepare a gas oil in water emulsion. This emulsion should be stable for a certain time (e.g. 5-50 hr) and with breaks.

Volume ratio of water to gas oil is about 1/50 to 1/1.

In the water phase, an electrolyte (HCl, NaOH, or NaCl) with concentration of 0-5 Molar is present.

The mixture is subjected to a DC potential of about 0-5 Volts through two metal electrodes.

I want to set these parameters:

1.Type of emulsifier (I prefer those that do not have sulfur in their structures)

2.Concentration of emulsifier (I prefer this to be as low as possible)

3.Mixing speed

4.Mixing time

5.The way to break the emulsion
