Hi, I'm trying to find out the velocity, force and pressure of the blood flow as it enters the needle during the puncture of the AV fistula. It could be a 14G needle for example.
Lets keep the biology aside and look into the physics aspect.
create a space filled with fluid whose properties are much near to blood and create a region at desired location and name it as injection. The geometry of the outlet should match your needle size (what you have specified) and create a low suction pressure at outlet than at filled space. If you are good at using ansys fluent it would be very easy to do it.
simulate the case with laminar and high viscous flow.
results will provide target mass flow, velocities and fluxes.
rest we can calculate.
try to make 2d model then can be made for complex 3d models also.
for modelli g and orher info plz feel free to post it.
I'll look into designing the 2D model. I'm new to ANSYS and I'm trying to learn on how to use the software at the moment. I'll update you with more details. Thanks for the assist!
