I have prepared cellulose nanofibers (CNFs) using TEMPO oxidation method. After sonication, the thin, heterogenous suspension turns into a thick, homogenous gel-like solution. Upon first centrifuge, I obtain hydrogel at the bottom, but once I resuspend this hydrogel in water and centrifuge again, it gives a non-hydrogel solution only.
Kindly tell what I can do to avoid losing my hydrogel upon 2nd centrifugation.
