I am experiencing trouble on measuring correlation on my dissertation study.
In two questions, I have asked my respondents "How many times have you been to ..." and "How familiar are you with the music at ...".
I am trying to establish the relationship between those who have frequented a store most often and if they are the same people who expressed their high familiarity with the music. They are the same group of respondents. Will a one-sample T test on SPSS be sufficient to test this relationship?

An ordinary correlation (Pearson or Spearman, depending on what scale you consider familiarity scores to represent) will address your question.
You could, of course, take the frequency of store visits value and classify respondents into levels (e.g., high, moderate, low or never) and do likewise for familiarity score, then do crosstabs with chi-square test. However, doing so ignores/"throws away" some of the information in the two scores.
If you wish to use one variable as a grouping variable and the other as a continuous variable, then either an independent t-test, or one-way anova (or multiple regression) would be the logical choice (if you're confident about the assumptions being plausible for your data set). Here again, by collapsing one of the variables into levels/groups, you're ignoring some of the information.

I have already ran a Pearson Correlation to test my hypotheses. I will add in a Chi-square test to show the relationship between those two questions.
