Thanks Ioan for writing. Please find attached the file of two time series for which I drew the above attached plot. Temp_1 and temp_2 are my two time series.

And, for now I am able to compare only two time series at a time. Is there any way to compare multiple time series in one step ?

The answer and the interpretation would depend on the wavelets that you are using. But an intuitive generic interpretation is that this time-scale map shows the correlation between your data variation and the signature of the wavelets that you are using. If the wavelet is harmonic then you have a time-frequency map that displays the evolution of frequency with time.

I think this may be a little late to answer this. But I will put my two bits of information anyway. The wavelet power spectrum shows variance of your time series across different timescales. From the given plot, I will conclude that the series you are analyzing is highly volatile from short to long timescales. As the spectrum gets hotter, more is the volatility. The black line is the one where you test the significance of the spectrum against and AR(1) process. So anything within the black line is significant.

you should note the following; the cone of influence marks out the region the wavelets coefficient estimates are reliable,

the color bars display the magnitude of the wavelet.
