Hello to all researchers,
I'm facing a problem to install "scipy" package of python. I tried to install it with the cmd "pip install scipy" but it shows me an error as "failed building wheel for scipy" . I also tried to install externally .whl file and tried to run it but the error remains the same. so is there any way ti install the package without pip or any dependency or installing Anaconda3 for python?
P.S - I have successfully installed NumPy and I am using Windows7 professional 64-bit system and I'm working on Python2.7.6.
The command you used should work.
you can try to upgrade the pip package before installing scipy and also make sure you installed the numpy + MKL correctly. you missed the lapack and blas library which are used by numpy. So I think you should reinstall numpy
instead installing all the package by yourself, you could use the anaconda distrubution which is especially done for scientific programming. Check this out : https://docs.continuum.io/anaconda/install
this install python + a large amount of package for scientific stuff.
by the way, you can use these command to see if the linkage is correctly done:

@Maxime Yochum - Thank you for Adding an answer. Installing Anaconda really helps me.
You may have solved the problems by reinstalling numpy with mkl.
My experience is that using the link below for retrieving modules is quite trouble free. The numpy includes the mkl and there are seldom challenges with the installations of any modules included here.
