Hello everybody!
I'm trying to obtain the vibrational-rotational spectra (in the THz region) for a structure, using Gaussian09 and GaussView.
From what I understand, using the freq=vibrot and int=ultrafine keywords will result in the calculation of such frequencies...but...
...I can't manage to find any step-by-step guide for treating the output data!!!
So I'm asking:
1. How do you setup a correct calculation for, e.g. water, in order to obtain the vibrot spectra in the THz region???
...and more important...
2. How do I extract the data from the output file???
P.S.: I know how to extract data from a frequency calculation output and plot the spectra in Origin but every time I try this with a vibrot calculation for water it only gives me 3 vibrational modes and the spectra is limited between 1500 and 4000 cm-1 (44.96 - 119.91 THz) so I need a spectra covering the 0,1 - 10 THz region (3,33 - 333,56 cm-1)
...so how can I obtain a THz spectra of water using Gaussian09 and GaussView!?!?!?
