Hi!
I'm looking for a database, or similar, with information about different chemicals stability in water. Two examples that I'm interested in is L-carnitine and Trimethylglycine/Betaine, both which can be used as PCR additives. Any help in how long these compounds can be stored in water and in what conditions such as 4oC, -20oC, -80oC is highly appropriated.

Thank you for sharing your recommendation. When storing in -20C do you allow multiple freeze thaw cycles and for how long (weeks, months or year) have you stored it in -20C?
I have used Betaine dissolved in ddH2O for years if stored at -20C. How many freeze-thaws? Unknown, but a lot. I typically make ~10 ml of 5M, aliquot it into 1ml bullets and use it until it is empty
