i am actually working on the Michael addition reactions catalyzed by synthesized complexes. I want to determine the enantiomeric excess of the adduct by GC. Does someone have a protocol how to separate these two enatiomers by GC? thanks.
You can use a chiral capillary column such as Lipodex or Hydrodex with cyclodextrin stationary phase .Lipodex are lipophilic phases where as Hydrodex are hydrophilic in nature. I don't know the nature of your compounds but you can give a trial.
Alternatively HPLC with chiral column is better choice for separation of enantiomers .
