How do I combine qPCR data from separate runs?

Hello,

I did a qPCR experiment comparing expression level of several genes between two groups, each contains samples from 4 animals, and got certain results.

I then wanted to increase the sample size of the experiment, and preformed it again for 2 additional animals of each group.

I did control for all the variables I could (using same initial concentration and other conditions), but I understand it is not trivial to combine the results of the two experiments.

What is the proper way to include all results together? Is there a common corrections to be used in this case?
