I'm running into an issue with the 1260's standard autosampler [G1329B] where the needle's point-of-entry into an HPLC vial is too close to the edge of the septum. It almost hits the lip of the cap, which is usually not a big issue, but when using low-volume inserts, the needle crashes into the lip of the insert and breaks the glass.

The Lab Advisor maintenance software only allows for needle depth and alignment with the needle seat while the gripper alignment only calibrates where the arm's ability to pick up vials, not where it places the vial for draw/injection.

Has anyone else run into this issue or have a solution that has worked for them?
