I have already all the information of my tight binding result, but we have a lot of theoretical arguments to believe that the Fermi level is in another level. We know that the most simple way is doing iterations on a sum of Gaussian distribution or something like that.
I will appreciate a literature reference.

You can count the number of electrons you have in your model and then count the number of eigenvalues you have. For N electrons, the Fermi level will be between the eigenstate number N and N+1.
Hi Jhon, you mean, for instance, if I have 388 atoms (so 388 electrons) in the level N=194 and 194+1. I can find the Fermi level in a kind of a media of energies of band number 195 and 194?.

Each of your levels will accomodate two electrons with opposite spin
(exclusion principle). Start filling from the bottom.
