Hi,

I am currently a student at University College London, studying for a Masters in Child Development. I am contacting you to ask if you would like to participate in my research.

This study forms part of my dissertation module and aims to gain in-depth insight from a teachers’ perspective, of the barriers that may hinder children’s academic success at school. If you are interested in participating in this research, you will receive a fuller Participant Information Sheet and Consent Form, which will detail all that is involved. You will see there that we would like to interview teachers about their experience of the barriers to children’s progress at school, and we would expect these interviews to last 30-45 minutes. These will also be audio-recorded and transcribed for later analysis, but your data will remain anonymous and kept confidential. Furthermore, if you wish to withdraw from the study you can do so at any given time during the interview or up until two weeks afterwards, by contacting me via my email.

If you are provisionally interested and would like to find out more about this research and what is involved in participation, then please send me an email and we will share the Participant Information Sheet and Informed Consent Form.

Thank you for your kind consideration.

Kindest regards,

Sana.
