Dear all,

I performed phage DNA extraction by phenol/ chloroform followed the below steps:

- Precipitation of phage particle using PEG8000 with the presence of NaCl

- Add DNase, RNase to digest host DNA/ RNA

- Add SDS 10%, proteinaseK

- 3 times phenol:chloroform (1:1) extraction

- EtOH precipitation

However, I got smear as you can see in pic that I attached here.

I would really appreciated if you could give share your experience on that.
