How could I extract DNA from brain tissue of rats?, more specifically from frontal cortex and striatum

Once I tried to extract RNA from intestine of tiques (Amblyomma sculptum), I think it could be a little similar.

The tissues was eluted in PBS buffer and performed maceration until homogeneous.

The rest of the protocol I have and really old paper in my PC (attached)
