Sodium azide is highly toxic and acts as mutagenic agents in various in vitro disease model. What is the best handling protocol of the chemical in cell culture. For example, sealing the culture plate when incubation; etc to avoid evaporation and affecting other cells in the incubator.

Why do you want to use sodium azide in your cell culture? If you have to do it, make sure you either seal the treated flasks very tight or better use a different incubator. Azide can go into the gas phase in low concentrations and thus affecting other cells as well.
