How you see democracy in relationship with popularity and quality? Quality as a wide range of qualities on different levels. Can a democratic system give credit to the deepest needs of the human heart?
What you think is correct. Nowadays, many people believe that popularity is a result of quality. This belief is strong in almost all areas from sales to research. Popularity, to some extend, is a product of clever marketing. We can see several substandard and dangerous products in the market, which is popular. This belief is to be changed. Conducting awareness programmes on quality, establishing quality assurance cells and ensuring their effective functioning and discouraging (and banning) low quality items, the quality can be ensured to a major extend. For changing the mindset of common people, several awareness campaigns with the help of media can be organised.
Yes that is all right, sometimes it is not quality that counts.
The top needs followers.
The invisible upper level don't need the voice of the people but the middle class is already sensible for popular response. The lower class need the presence of the mass to believe they are on a good way.
We live rather in a quantitative environment, and this is still extending. Nearly the whole business has incorporated the quota. . We can make the list longer and put the democracy on it, based on votes. There is an idea that quality ultimately can be measured by quantity.
To change this idea in the opposite needs a crucifixion of many lives.
