How can we dose ampicillin in infants (pre-term and term) with sepsis and meningitis?

It is obvious that ampicillin should be included in regimen for management of sepsis and meningitis in infants, So

1. what is the pharmacokinetic profile of this drug in this population

2. How we can dose it (dosing protocol)

please I need any clinical trial done or clinical practice guideline, if any
