In textbooks on astronomy, we can find information that the radius of the habitable zone is influenced by the luminosity of the star, the sperctral class, and metallicity. But are there any formulas or equations, using which, knowing these parameters, you can find the radius of the habitable zone?

Hello,
Astronomers simplify this question. First, life-forces are outside of Standard model of physics. Second, typical exoplanetary system differs significantly from ours.
In most text books the habitable zone is modeled after the current life conditions on Earth. In the central sahara desert there is no life nor at extreme arctic or antarctic regions. This amounts to a roughly a factor of two in the solar radiation flux. Looking where those extreme insolations would barely occur on a planet further out or further in at the solar system provides a region of roughly between the orbits of Venus and Mars. This can be scaled to other stars to the distances where the same flux ratio occurs as at the solar system. What is important, however, if looking for intelligent life, is the continuously habitable zone. This is very much narrower since the nuclear driven luminosity rise of the stars drives the habitable zones to greater distance from the stars with time.
