In standard disc-diffusion assays to detect the anti-QS activities of medicinal plants, we apply 20-30 micro gram of acyl homoserine lactone to bacterial plates per disc . However, I ma not clear with the above figure (30micro gram per disc). How can I apply? How can I formulate in the form of solution? what amount of AHL will dissolve with? what will be the possible solvent? Is it sterile distilled water or other ?
