I want to conduct experience about the effect of virus in improving plant resistance in drought tolerance. The species I wanna use is Oryza sativa in several variety and BMV

Hi Yustina,

We recently did a similar project. The result hasn't been published yet but we found a virus increases water stress tolerance in Nicotiana benthamiana through accumulation of osmolytes, antioxidant enzymes and expression of drought related genes. A similar experiment was earlier done in Roossinck's Lab--you can find here the paper published back in 2008....
