50 years ago it was “self-evident” that the universe was dominated by matter. all agreed that the universe’s expansion rate should slow. The surprise was therefore total when the observational data instead seemed to indicate that the universe is accelerating i.e. increases its rate of expansion - as if the cosmos recently moved its foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator.
The reason that the expansion of the universe does not match our expectation is that the Big Bang theory is not correct. We have to completely revise our thinking about the cause of the expansion of the universe.
The universe is finite with a space boundary and the expansion of space throughout the universe is driven by the expansion at the boundary.
The formation of matter within the universe is caused by the release of energy from expanding curved spacetime and the newly formed matter has a negligible impact on the expansion of space.
The Big Bang theory is mistaken about the cause of the cosmic microwave background and it is an estimated 126 billion years since the first galaxy formed after which the number of galaxies in the universe increased by a factor of 20 every 14 billion years.
The expansion of the universe is not accelerating. Instead, the unexpected recession velocity of distant galaxies is as a result of gravitational acceleration towards the centre of the finite universe caused by the gravitation effect of all the galaxies.

Preston Guynn , I have a surprice to that old hypothesis, which seems to be new and a working whithout the strange assumption of higher speed then of light. and explains axeleration and even the changes of exeleration - which no one ever did try to explain.

According to me when the univer began it was radiation dominated and with time matter was formed as a result of those radiations as Sir Richard Lewis mentioned but not only that but those radiations may have also provided the energy for the universe to “accelerate“ and expand and if we are looking at fairly distant celestial bodies to measure the rate of expansion it is very well the case that we are looking at a past state as light takes some time to travel and we may be in a state of big crunch or more likely vaccum dominated universe.Or Big Bang may not have occurred as Sir Richard Lewis mentioned and universe ain’t expanding.
But the idea of recessing galaxies seems rather weird (yes it may be the case but then it creates some important questions.)
Galaxies are recessing about what?
If we are talk about boundaries and presence of orbits of galaxies then do we have a metric of an entire universe on a scale in which galaxies are small?If yes please someone tell us the metric as I am fairly curious to know about it.
