I have tried the problem with a wedge of less than 5 degrees as mentioned in the user guide and used pisoFOAM as the solver, but my jet does not seem to spread at all it is rather decaying very early. Please help me with this as to which solver to use and what boundary condition to set.
P.S. This is a standard problem of Pope chapter 5
thanks for the fast reply sir! I am using 95500 Re , 15mm dia of jet and k and epsilon are calculated from the standard formula but am still confused about the boundary conditions to use. 300m/s velocity at inlet.
Sir, the domain consists of an axisymmeteric wedge with an inlet of d/2 and the right and top wall are having pressureInletOutletVelocity condition and have atmospheric pressure.
on the inlet you fix the velocity and the pressure as zeroGradient?
The U is set to zeroGradient on the upper and right sides?
Do you have defined the lateral sides as cyclic?
