I got so many amplicon sequences of 18S rRNA gene V4 from samples affected by ocean current . I can got the taxonomy of them by NCBI, but I can't tell which one was ocenic species and which one was inshore species. Does anyone kown some kind of reference database I can query?
I am afraid you will probably have to go to the most recent taxonomic treatment of the organisms you are studying
I, too, agree with Rosalia. Once u know the species through NCBI, u need to collect the details of the species individually from web, books (taxonomic manuals) or any other available sources.
Hello, you can screen amplicons against env_nr database of NCBI, which contain sequences directly submitted from environment samples i.e Sargasso sea, Mine drainage projects). You need to download and build local blast database to screen amplicons against marine species
