Hi i'm trying to thermally degrade MLCC.
I've tried heating it upto 200 C and putting bias like 23 V since its rated voltage is 10V and maximum temperature is 125C
But it does not look like degraded.
what should I do?
and what would the capacitance graph look like? if it is degraded?

Sintering temperature of MLCCs are much higher than 200C and therefore degradation at such temperature is not expected to take place in a short time. Also, the effect of temperature dependent capacitance should also be noted when capacitance is used for condition monitoring.

The ratings of the devices are the safe operating conditions for long times. Normally there is a factor of safety to grantee these ratings.
As the capacitors are basically formed from insulting material sandwiched between its two metallic electrodes. So, can be degraded by the voltage breakdown where one has to raise the voltage across the capacitor till breakdown occurs and sufficient current passes in it to thermally detract it. It can so that one passes a reverse breakdown current in the capacitor without damage as still by reducing the voltage the capacitor can recovers completely it normal operating state.
