Hi,

If it is strongly attached, you can just discard the supernatant breeding medium. Then just carefully pour some cold (4C) 4% paraformaldehide on it. Just be sure, to treat all the biofilms on the same way, so leave the last one to sit overnight in the PFA prior microscopy. If you are planning to apply some staining for confocal microscopy (presumably), just check the fixative compatibility first!
