I am new at using Aperio Image scope. I have some tissue microarray slides which are chromogenically stained. I have scanned these slides with the whole slide scanner and I have all of the images as "tif" files. Even though the colors seem good(nucleus=blue and positive stained cells= brown) in other softwares like qpath, the images look black and white when I opened them in Aperio imagescope. Is there anyway that I could fix this?
Am really not sure of the Aperio Image scope, but when we open the image in some soft wares they give options. a "RBG" oprtion is there reb blue green primary colors, that shows the image in colour.
People processing satellite imagery use satellite data to open in different formats. its the field of remote sensing.
As such the intensity in black and white will vary from 0 - 256 and all the colours can be distinguised.
i just added this people from computers doing digital image processing also can help. someone handling software regularly in image processing. you look for the options... it will be there somewhere. the company techincal help also can.
If the viewing software is on monochrome, change to RBG. If you captured the image in monochromatic mode, no color information is present.
Seems a bit odd to me that your scans are .tif files. If you scanned your slides with an Aperio scanner, the primary output should be .svs files, and this is what Imagescope is designed to visualise. If you have somehow obtained images as .tif files and then are trying to view them on Imagescope, you might have lost some colour information in the format transfer process.
