Hello everyone, I need your valuable suggestions. I got the correction from reviewers. one of the correction is "only one statistical analysis is not sufficient to establish the idea". Nature of the study is correctional and the dependent variable is Dummy (0,1). I used the binary logit model for analysis through SPSS. Before that, I use PCA for factor reduction. How can I respond to the reviewer?

It depends.
If you wish to agree with the reviewer then you’d need to carry out additional statistics as the reviewer inferred, and highlight the added statsitcs.
However, if you wish to disagree with the reviewer‘s comment, you’d need to justify why, with references.
Often, people prefer to agree with reviewers for obvious reason. Discuss this with your co-authors, if you have any, to get their insight & suggestions.

The fragment to cite is somewhat obscure. Perhaps the reviewer refers to the idea that YOUR idea is such that it needs more work to convince her that your argument works. Perhaps she believes that there is a certain minimum number of analyses in the publication at hand. That second possibility seems a little odd. Nonetheless, you can enrich your analyses, for instance, with margin plots. They help to understand much better the implications of your regression results in terms of how much does the probability of Y=1 change when certain Xs vary.

You need to work on reviewers comments and as per suggestions you have to improve your paper. It may take some more time to improve. But immediately you can reply to reviewers by thanking them for their comments and tell them that you will submit modified copy very soon. You need to see time given for submission of modified version of paper and submit it well before.
Yes, it happens a lot many times when you based upon your specific knowledge and and the knowledge of statistician or bioinformatician you consulted differ in their opinions.
What i try to do is to give the editor my point of view of employing why i selected a particular test with references. I also have in past requested the editors in past to get a second opinion about the matter. It helped me mostly, but sometimes it does not.
Editors are also quite understanding and i guess most of us on this forum do reviews and may be are part of some editorial team. So i recommend you to get back to editor, if you really have reason or data to support your point.

Reviewers are very experienced people in a given field. Faithful compliance with their comments is a very precious educational feedback for the targeted researcher. As such, coping with the suggestions made by the particular interviewer is a surefire way for a successful publication.
