Consider a rebar with it's one fixed (like a cantilever).
I am trying to perform this analysis in two step: First, I want to apply temperature loading (consider, total temperature change = 100 degree Celsius). Second, I want to apply displacement based loading at the free end (say, 3 mm). Can you suggest me some ideas to do this analysis?
I have been trying to do it, but the displacement at the free end is equal to 3 mm (equal to provided load), every time. Which I think is because the temperature loading is obsolete.

If "displacement based loading" means "displacement control", then displacement at the end node will always be the same (because you prescribe it). But reaction force at this node (just as load proportionality factor) will depend upon temperature applied at the first step.

if you apply both thermal loads and prescribed displacement in the same Step you would obtain a displacement equal to the one you just imposed and residual thermal stresses, as suggested by Victor J. Аdlucky .
Have you tried with a two steps analysis?
You could have a first "Static general" Step where you apply a thermal load using a "Predefined Field". In the second step, you can then apply a prescribed displacement, which starts from the pre-deformed geometry obtained in the first step.
