Consider a rebar welded on a base plate and load is applied on the lateral direction. Can you suggest some ideas to constraint the end of the rebar with the base plate in ABAQUS ? The attached file shows a sample in the simplest way.

Hi
In the interaction module> Create connector section>choose the "Assembled/Complex" category>Weld>
define the failure criteria for upper and lower bond, if you want to do for specified direction, change release icon to Specify.
Then, Use the wire or attachment line to assign it.
