I have a 2D model in abaqus (Explicit) and analysis is quasi-static (with time 50). Material model is damage plasticity. I can see some crack in my model. But when I refine mesh, displacement will be very large and show no converging in solving.
Please help me on how I can solve this problem.
There is never any convergence issue in Explicit. You always get some solution based on your model setup. You have to check the correctness of the solution such as by analyzing the deformed shape, history plot of energies, etc.
I understand that the kinetic energy in my model is very large (e6) and cause the wrong result. I use of longer time in my model and I reform the mass scaling in step module but it could not help me. please help me. I am working on this problem 3 weeks.
