In order to perform IDA analyses you should read D. Vamvatsikos' papers. After learning fundamental theories, it can be implemented in OpenSees software using nonlinear time history analysis but increasing scale factors. If you need a model for this, find it in attachment.

Hello Hayet,

the answer depends always from the complexity of your application. I use since 30 years ADINA for incremental dynamic analysis for linear as well as for nonlinear applications. The features, i.e. time functions for loads, for solving IDA problems are extremly helpful and stable to obtain solutions and you can use the whole spectrum for FE methods.
